Each Velaris tour accommodates a maximum of six guests. This is a deliberate choice — keeping groups small ensures every guest receives attentive crew service and has space to move freely on deck.

All tours include meals relevant to the itinerary (breakfast for sunrise, barbecue for Dinawan, full meals for the overnight), crew services, and any listed activities. Snorkeling gear and kayaks are included on the Dinawan tour. The overnight voyage includes cabin accommodation, bedding, and all meals.

All tours depart from Kota Kinabalu's waterfront area. Precise departure point and time are confirmed when your booking is finalised. The Sunrise Tour departs in the early pre-dawn hours; the Dinawan and Overnight tours depart in the morning.

We recommend reaching out at least two to four weeks ahead, particularly for the Overnight voyage which requires provisioning and cabin preparation. For the Sunrise and Dinawan tours, a week's notice is usually sufficient depending on availability.

Guest safety is the deciding factor. If conditions are assessed as unsuitable on departure day, we will contact you as early as possible and work to reschedule. Our crew monitors marine forecasts closely and you will not be pressured to sail in questionable conditions.

Yes — please let us know about any dietary needs when you get in touch. Our onboard meals are prepared by the crew and we are generally able to accommodate vegetarian, halal, and common allergy requirements with advance notice.
